Studies prove that injuries during childhood, adolescence and early adulthood are correlated with a high incidence of arthritis many years after the trauma. Both the knee and hip joints have a history of responding very well to regenerative injection treatment (RIT), even with severe cases.

The treatments for the weight-bearing joints are geared towards joint stabilization by restoring lost ligament tightness and strength. Cartilage and meniscus tissue can also be stimulated into regenerating. Injectable non-animal hyaluronic acid is frequently used in severe cases to quickly alleviate pain in the hip or knee.
